Important Notice

In an email from Phil Shaw, Route Manager – Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire & Rutland – National Highways, Stretton Parish Council has been advised, with respect to the bike track located in the woodland immediately to the West of the A1 North-bound carriageway as follows:

“Regarding the current location, all activity needs to stop immediately. We will potentially seek legal action if it continues as it is damage to crown property. I’d rather avoid using taxpayers money to force their hand if it can be helped and we can come to some mutual arrangements but I will escalate if required. If I have to arrange solicitors to take action, then I doubt I’ll be able to secure the social value fund either so it’s in their interest to engage with National Highways.
